What is a Nurse Practitioner?
Nurse Practitioners, also known as NP’s, deliver a unique blend of nursing and medical care. They provide comprehensive, personalized health education and counseling. NP’s assist patients in making better lifestyle and health decisions. NP’s have distinguished themselves from other healthcare providers by focusing on the whole person when treating specific health problems and educating their patients on the effects those problems may have on them as individuals, on their loved ones and on their communities. NP’s are state-licensed and work as a team with a supervising physician.
